I’m Loni. Welcome to my blog! I started it when I was in college in San Diego, and have kept my old posts because I had a lot of fun making them throughout those years.
Post-graduation, I lived in the big city of San Francisco, and then moved to rural Southeast Alaska! When I first moved here, I attempted to restart the blog, and didn’t really keep it updated. However, since living here for a few years, I have enjoyed photography and exploring the outdoors. This blog is just kind of my little corner of the internet where I can keep my photos, share a bit about my life, and have fun!
Currently I work full time in Public Health while also completing my masters in public health through Johns Hopkins’ distance program.
I am striving to be happy, instead of perfect, and am attempting to live by the quote below (also where the blog’s title came from!) —
“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it”
— by Groucho Marx, who is awesome
…(hopefully) my blog reflects this! Enjoy!
